Paul Smith launch their first sunglasses collection with Oakley for Spring/Summer 2009. The result is fresh and fun capsule collection of Frogskin frames in four striking colourways. With a distinct matt rubberised finish, the Oakley Frogskins were first released in 1986 and became a symbol of that decade’s surf and skate culture. The Paul Smith frames reflect their retro origins with their high-voltage colour - pink, purple, blue and an original camo design. The sunglasses are finished with gradient mirrored lenses. Only 500 pairs will be available and limited exclusively to be sold in Paul Smith shops.paul-smith-oakley-sunglasses-1paul-smith-oakley-sunglasses-1

kanye west knew exactly what he was doing every step of everyday.

These are pic's of dudes on the runway with KW/LV shoes - they start at 1100.00. To most people this would look like a no brainier for LV, however Very High-end fashion houses don't reach out to rappers - they don't need to.. In-fact it could hurt the brand if not done right. this co-lab was because he is a true tastemaker. But more Importantly KW forged a real friendship with Mark Jacobs - Creative Director of the prestigious French design house Louis Vuitton. Much like his relationship with "Hip Hop Since 1978" (HHS78) is a management/production company.

And through that real relationship, he was signed to Rocafella records.. I guess my point is god sometimes puts you in the right place at the right time, but you have to meet that fate with as much drive and planning and determination as you can.

true knitting needles, this was a gift from my head knitter. Ulli Marker ( 1 of the top 5 kniters in the USA, no joke.)

This is a pic of them in action, its a great honor for him to give me one of these. He has kept these needles for a very long time. The smaller one is one of the needles he learned how to knit on over 40 years ago - and if I was a rapper I would put it on a chain, and prob dip it in white gold.

thanks Ulli!

this is great - always make fun of yourself! you cant lose.

as bad as I hate to say it these new VV bags are killing it! I would have been crushing people in the airport with these!

the same t-shirt can be worthless and priceless.... i understand this now - after a yard-sale i just had at my parents house.

Part of our backstage tour included the jockeys dressing room. Pretty cool stuff.

I have seen people stand in a line of 500+ people; for a chance at a promo VV T-shirt. I have also sold that same shirt at a yard sale for .50 cent. I have seen "Supreme" t-shirts sale for 50.00 at a NYC flagship store; and then I have been to the factory that helped them get started,in Lamar S.C. ( that they later, left to out-source in china) sale a prototype t-shirt for $4.00. I have seen people stand online for one hour or more for a free spring break promo t-shirt - that I could not give away later.

Its all value added, and perception!! - A good Louis Vuitton T-shirt is around 800.00, but why is that?

and here we go...

Oprah's KFC free-for-all sparks civil rights era-style protest. Wonderful.

Oprahkfcchicken_l Earlier today, a hungry mob of New Yorkers (the millennial generation's version of an angry mob) staged a '60s-style sit-in at a Manhattan KFC restaurant. Why? They were protesting the store manager's refusal to honor coupons for the fast food chain's new grilled chicken courtesy of the karma-grubbing cultural icon Oprah Winfrey. Funny and absurd, sure. But I can't help but see this kerfuffle as evidence of either the beginning of the end of all that's good in the world or (pause for sip of Obama-flavored Kool-Aid) the return of power-to-the-people engagement.

The obvious response is to look at the entitlement of those free-chicken seekers as crass and pathetic. I mean, how could any fast food really be worth generating a storm of righteous indignation? And what about that Scrooge-like, power-crazed KFC store manager, who allegedly refused to play along and serve up the finger lickin' goodness to which anyone with an Internet connection is entitled. These are tough times and cheap thrills are hard to come by, much less free ones. That's tough medicine.

But how is it that chicken inspires the kind of politicized grass-roots action that hardly anybody mustered in the face of nonstop indignities (stuff like White House-approved torture, corporate corruption, and the demise of newsprint)? Does this mean that we're still capable of getting mad as hell and not taking it anymore? Or does it mean that nobody can be bothered unless it involves a free lunch? What's your take on what this means for the future of humanity -- or the power of Oprah -- PopWatchers?
